About our Village People
Full of wisdom and spirit he and his children are dedicated people who have spent years committed to the first cultural village of Rarotonga from when it opened around 1987 to when it closed in 2007.
Upon hearing of Te Vara Nui Village, they were very excited as they knew it was something they wanted to be part of again…a dream that was lost in 2007. His family hold traditional knowledge that is very rare today and are proud to reawaken and relive the memories and heart of our culture and its people.
Countless hours have been spent by Papa, his sons James and Travel and extended family on creating the village tools, carving, artifacts and more, with his gifted daughter-in-law Mama producing stunning costumes for the huts and entertainment, humbly embracing and preserving our culture. |
