Terms and Conditions

Prices & Deposit
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include Government tax.

A 20% deposit of the estimated total is required to confirm your booking and secure your date.
If the deposit is not received within 14 days (10 working days) from when it is requested, your provisional booking may be released.

A further 50% payment is due 8 weeks (2 months) before the wedding or function, and the final 30% balance must be paid no later than 14 days (10 working days) before the event.
All payments are non-refundable once received and may be made by credit card or international bank transfer.

Final guest numbers and menu choices must be confirmed at least 14 days prior to the event.


Payment Methods
We accept cash, Visa and MasterCard, international bank transfers, and bank cheques.
Any bank or transfer fees are the client’s responsibility and should be added to the payment total.


Guest Numbers
If guest numbers are reduced after the 14-day confirmation period, no refund will be given.
Te Vara Nui reserves the right to charge for the confirmed number.
Increases may be accepted up to 48 hours prior to the event, subject to capacity.


Liability
The client is responsible for the conduct of all guests and suppliers on site.
Any damage to property or equipment will be charged at cost.
Te Vara Nui accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or equipment before, during, or after the function.

Te Vara Nui is not liable for any injuries occurring on the premises.
Children must be closely supervised, especially around water, by their parents or caregivers.


Cancellations
All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable, followed by a confirming phone call for international clients).

  • 90 days or more before the event: The 20% deposit is non-refundable and will be retained as an administration fee.

  • 60 – 30 days before the event: The client is liable for 70% of the total amount (including the 20% deposit).

  • 30 days or less before the event: No refund100% of the total will be charged.


SALES OF LIQUOR
Due to Licensing Laws, all weddings and functions have up until 9pm to purchase drinks from the bar. Music must be turned down by 9.30 p.m. and off by 10p.m., in consideration of neighbouring residents. All guests will be given half an hour to leave. A penalty fee maybe charged for extra time guests are on property. There is NO BYO option available on our premises and we have a good range of beverages to choose from. Should you request something in particular, please do not hesitate to order in advance.

BAR PAYMENT
For OPEN BAR arrangements and additional bar requests the final payment is due in full at the end of the event/function. No other payment arrangements will be accepted. In terms of set BAR TABS, this MUST BE PAID IN FULL 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
Any Reception/Function held on a Sunday or Cook Islands Public Holiday will incur a surcharge.

All prices within our information pack together with terms and conditions shown above are current at this time and are subject to change at any time without prior notice (except in the case where an existing booking for a particular service is confirmed and full deposit/payment has been received by Te Vara Nui Village)

TRANSPORT
Te Vara Nui can easily arrange return transport for your group. Let us know in advance so it can be arranged.

All prices listed include VAT and are subject to change without notification.

DISCLAIMER
While every effort is made to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, Te Vara Nui Ltd/Pacific Mirage Ltd  accept no responsibility for injury, illness, or loss that may occur during your visit.
This includes accidents involving walkways, steps, rocks, ponds, waterfalls, or other natural features, as well as any food or beverage-related sensitivities or adverse reactions. Participation in all shows, activities, and use of facilities is at guests’ own risk.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All bookings, visits, and participation in services or activities provided by Te Vara Nui Ltd/Pacific Mirage Ltd are governed by the laws of the Cook Islands.
Any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising from your visit shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Cook Islands.
By proceeding with your booking or entering the premises, you agree to be bound by this legal framework.
